This route is the 200k version of the San Diego 3 Loops series. It is an easy coastal cruise from Encinitas to Coronado taking advantage of the Bayshore Bikeway in the South Bay and Silver Strand, returning inland on Genessee Ave, 56 bike path to Camino Del Sur and some short rollers through Fairbanks Ranch and Rancho Santa Fe back to the start. The highest elevation on this route is the top of Torrey Pines. But the inland leg will be a roller coaster ride when you reach Linda Vista. The route is predominantly coastal urban, so there are lights to contend with, but you will pass by all the notable beach communities along the way.

Parking is available on the Encinitas Station Park and Ride on Vulcan Ave just down the street from the start. Confirming with the manager at the Days Inn that parking is available to participants for $5-$10. Parking is not available the Moonlight Plaza across the street: there is a 2-hour limit and you will bear the risk of your car being towed if you decide to park there.
